FAQs

Q: What age do you start teaching dance?
A: 3 yrs. old
Q: What type of dance do you teach?
A: We teach jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, technique, and turns. We teach all of this on either a competitive or recreational level.
Q: Can I sit in on my childs class?
A: In most situations, parents can see how the class is going through the window. If the parents sit in every week, it's too distracting for the students. There are too many authority figures and the children either lose class time looking for mom's approval or they act out to see what reaction they will get. We encourage parents of young children to wait in our waiting rooms so that if they are needed, they are close.
Q: Do you have a dress code?
A: Yes! Ballet students should wear pink tights with a black leotard and pink split sole ballet shoes. All other classes must be in dance clothes—i.e. hot shorts, tank tops, dance pants. We need your clothes tight so that we can fix the students properly. Please wear gore boots to all other classes.
Q: What extra fees do you have besides tuition?
A: Registration Fee, Recital Fee, and Costumes.
Q: What age do you start competition teams?
A: We start at age 6.
Q: Can we start in the middle of the year?
A: If we can avoid this, we really try to. It is hard on the teacher to add the girls into the dance they have already been working on. Also, it may be hard to get a costume depending on when they start.
Q: How many recitals do you have?
A: We do one recital usually the end of May or first week of June.
